A paper I'm co-author on was recently accepted to GRL! It is a really interesting study looking into how electron crescent distributions can produce upper hybrid waves at the magnetotail reconnection sites. These waves can later have effects back on local plasma populations, as well as acting as a dissipation mechanism at the reconnection sites. It is yet another in a list of really great discoveries by the NASA Magnetospheric Multiscale (MMS) mission!

The paper can be found here!
